What is it like to tell your story while strangers are already deciding what it means?
Anthony Hyland joins Jay to discuss Clout, a documentary series about his account of facing sexual-assault allegations that he denies. He describes the effect he says the situation had on his mental health, public identity, career, and family, as well as his decision to speak about it.
Anthony also shares his own experience as a sexual-assault survivor and explains why the situation brought earlier trauma back into focus. The conversation explores social media, public judgment, asking for help, and the support he describes receiving from people close to him and his Navy chain of command. His perspective is the focus of this interview.
