Parenting can be lonely even when you rarely have a moment alone.
Heather Jess, creator of MommaSquad, joins Jay in the studio to talk about motherhood, military family life, and the support she wished she had earlier. She shares her experience with postpartum depression and caring for her family while her husband was away at basic training.
Heather also talks about wanting her children to experience a different kind of communication from the hurtful messages she heard growing up. She and Jay discuss empathy, conflict, self-worth, and what children learn from the way adults treat one another. MommaSquad grew from her interest in connecting parents who could use an honest conversation and a community that understands.
